Basingstoke Ice
Skating Club

The club takes safeguarding extremely seriously and is proud to be the first NISA club to have fully adopted all of NISA's guidelines and documents in this regard.

All personal data is held securely via password restricted logins distributed to specific committee members with role based access.

Our Parent Handbook covers all key areas of safeguarding including code of conduct for skaters, members, parents and officials. Combined with the ice etiquette policy, it is the key document for every member and parent to understand and abide by.

Our photographic policy is simple: the club only takes photographs at specific events (competitions, galas, for example) which we will advise of in advance and offer a chance to withdraw consent. If taking photographs/video during club times, you need to gain consent from the parents of the skaters in the image. We ask you to refrain from sharing images on social media of others, unless you have express consent to do so. Any images taken by club will be held securely in password protected digital environment and if used for promotion, we will only align personal information with express permission and will always limit the detail shared to protect the child.

You can electronically agree to both the member's code of conduct and general photographic policy online by selecting in the membership management screens.
