Well done to all the Basingstoke team on such a dazzling display. Congratulations on bringing the trophy back to Basingstoke for the 3rd time in the 15 years of the competition. We last won in 1999 and 2004.

This year Rachael Powell, as captain, received the Trophy, on behalf of the team, from Alan Seabrook, Chairman of NISA.

This was truly a team effort from all of the skaters to the parents who did a sterling job with the scenery off the ice as well as those we brought into the on ice team. We could not have achieved the scenery logistics without them.

Many thanks to Laura Walker and her team of mums, who organised the costumes and to the coaches of our individual skaters.

Enormous thanks to Anita for all of the work she put into such a spectacular show number.

If you did not get a chance to see it will be performed again at the Basingstoke Opens on Sunday 12th July.

Every skater in our team achieved podium finishes - for results click here. This has not happened often in the NTC.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF YOU !

Basingstoke Ice Skating Club is proud of you all.

Laura Walker...

Well done to EVERYONE today!!
What a fantastic result.

Elaine Hooper ...

I would like to say what a fantastic result. This was a real team effort. As well as the skaters it would not have been possible without the parents, The men helping on and off ice with the scenery. Laura and her costume team. I am not sure how many helped with the costumes but I know I saw kaveena with a sewing machine. Thanks to Gill for signalling the show number music and the lads from the rink, who helped with scenery. Also everyone who contributed in way with transport. I think we all agree that Anita did a fantastic job with the show number, which was spectacular on the day. I hope I have not forgotten anyone

John Crawford ...

Firstly a massive WELL DONE to the club for winning on Sunday. The kids and Anita were absolutely superb, the time and effort put in by them got its rewards. Also a big thanks should go out to all the mums who assisted with the costumes and Simon, Keith,Robin, Stewart and Mark for there work on the props.

Mark Harrison ...

Congratulations to everyone involved.  It was an outstanding performance, the result a brilliant achievement and very well deserved.
